We are excited to announce that Legit has secured a €650,000 investment from Vesna Deeptech VC Fund. This milestone investment, Vesna’s first in Croatia, will enable us to enhance and expand our industry-leading data privacy solutions, solidifying Legit’s position as a critical player in the personal data protection field.
The investment was officially unveiled at the BIRD Incubator, where Vesna Deeptech VC Fund outlined its commitment to backing innovative tech companies that address critical challenges in today’s digital world.
“At Vesna Deeptech VC Fund, our mission is to invest in high-tech projects and startups that tackle urgent global challenges or significantly enhance existing products and services through innovation and efficiency. Our investments begin at TRL3 and are focused on continuous growth,” said Nina Dremelj, Managing Partner of Vesna VC Fund. “Our partnership with Legit, a pioneer in applying AI to data protection, marks a major milestone in aligning with our strategy.”

At Legit, we specialize in creating cutting-edge solutions to safeguard personal data. Our flagship platform, Data Privacy Manager, is recognized by top analysts like Gartner and Forrester for its comprehensive approach to data privacy. We are focused on integrating even more advanced AI technologies into our platform, providing businesses with superior tools to protect personal information.
“In recent years, privacy and personal data protection have become critical concerns for businesses and consumers alike,” said our CEO, Marijan Bračić. “This investment from Vesna Deeptech VC Fund gives us the resources to take our solutions to the next level. We’re thrilled to continue our growth and bring innovative data protection technology to the global market.”

A key aspect of our journey has been our collaboration with academic partners like the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER). Through the AIPD2 project, supported by European Structural and Investment Funds, we worked with FER to develop machine learning capabilities that enable Data Privacy Manager to identify, classify, and manage personal data across both structured and unstructured sources.
Professor Dr. Marin Golub, who led the FER team on this project, emphasized the importance of collaboration between academia and industry.
“Collaboration between academia and industry is crucial for developing innovative solutions with real market impact,” said Professor Golub. “Through the AIPD2 project, we explored the application of machine learning for data discovery and classification, which has enabled Legit to develop a software platform that helps organizations protect privacy more efficiently.”
As we embark on this next phase of growth, we remain committed to delivering the most advanced data protection solutions on the market. With the support of Vesna Deeptech VC Fund, we are excited to continue pushing the boundaries of privacy technology and driving innovation in the global privacy landscape.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to build a more secure digital future!
